This contract position offers the opportunity to work as a paraprofessional in a specialized school dedicated to serving students who require additional assistance. The assignment is set to begin immediately and spans at least three months, with the possibility of extension up to one year. You'll work 30 hours per week over the summer, with a potential increase in hours as the school year progresses.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Paraprofessional certificate required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with Paraprofessional endorsement necessary
- Prior experience in educational or support roles preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Energetic, compassionate, and adaptable to changing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student, helping them access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans under the guidance of certified staff
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere
- Support the student's academic, social, and behavioral growth consistently each day
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the student

Compensation for this position ranges from $13.00 to $34.50. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
