As a vital member of the educational team, youll work onsite from Monday through Friday, providing meaningful assistance to classroom teachers and supporting students diverse educational needs. With a 35-hour work week and a dedicated 30-minute unpaid lunch, youll enjoy a consistent schedule while making a daily impact in students lives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (pending permit accepted with proof of application via DEEDs; permit must be in hand before start)
• Demonstrated experience supporting children in a school or educational setting preferred
• Commitment to completion of required background checks, fingerprinting, TB test, and Child Protective Registry Check
• Ability to adapt to various caseloads and student needs as positions become available across the district
• Willingness to complete a required contractor packet and district onboarding process

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to individual students or small groups
• Implement classroom routines and assist with educational activities as directed by lead teachers
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with staff and administration regarding student needs and progress
• Maintain confidentiality and support district policies
