Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a paraprofessional near the Carbon and Lehigh Counties area. Working within a school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year, you will be directly involved in helping shape young learners daily experiences and supporting their educational goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Must meet at least one of the Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification requirements
- Experience working in educational or child-focused environments preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting students and educators
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to create a supportive learning atmosphere
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and promoting student success
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom assistance under the guidance of certified teachers
- Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce instructional material
- Assist in implementing educational and behavioral interventions as needed
- Help with classroom organization, materials preparation, and daily routines
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold school and district policies
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required
Assignment Details:
- School year term from August 10, 2026, to June 11, 2027 (subject to school calendar)
- Full-time hours: 35 hours/week with school-aged students; 29 hours/week for early intervention programs
- Onsite presence required to fully support student needs
