A school-based paraprofessional position is available in Nashua, NH, supporting a unique student with Autism who is deaf. This full-time contract role runs from ASAP through June 2026, with a workweek of 35 to 37.5 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support as part of a team working with a high school student (grade 9) who is deaf and has Autism
- Utilize American Sign Language fluently as a certified interpreter to facilitate communication
- Receive training in the NECC program focused on students with Autism
- Collect and maintain data on the student's educational plan and progress
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to implement tailored support strategies
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working within a school setting as a paraprofessional
- Fluency in American Sign Language and certification as an interpreter, preferably with behavioral experience
- Ability to work 7.5 hours per day during the school year
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Location:
- Nashua, NH area, working within the Bedford school district environment
