Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to follow teacher direction and classroom plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with students and staff
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine enthusiasm for assisting learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further coursework in education or paraprofessional certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver supportive, inclusive classroom environments
  • Provide individual or small group assistance and encouragement to students requiring extra support
  • Assist in preparing classroom materials and organizing learning activities
  • Supervise students in various settings, maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere
  • Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
