Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school environment preferred
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse student populations and changing needs
- Knowledge of basic classroom management and instructional support techniques
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or education a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in classroom management, instructional delivery, and supervision of students
- Provide individualized or small group support to students, reinforcing lessons and guiding learning activities
- Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or behavioral plans under teacher guidance
- Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students with special needs by adapting materials and helping them access the curriculum
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the instructional team
- Assist with daily classroom organization and preparation of learning materials
