Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school environment preferred
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse student populations and changing needs
  • Knowledge of basic classroom management and instructional support techniques
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or education a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in classroom management, instructional delivery, and supervision of students
  • Provide individualized or small group support to students, reinforcing lessons and guiding learning activities
  • Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or behavioral plans under teacher guidance
  • Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students with special needs by adapting materials and helping them access the curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the instructional team
  • Assist with daily classroom organization and preparation of learning materials
