Elementary School Paraprofessional in Coon Rapids, Blaine, Champlin, and Andover Minnesota for the 26/27 School Year.

Sunbelt Staffing is hiring Highly Qualified Middle School Paraprofessionals to support students for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the expectation of transitioning to direct employment with the district after the required contract period.

Position Details
Position: Elementary School Paraprofessional
Location: Coon Rapids, Blaine, Champlin, and Andover MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Candidates must indicate their preferred school city when applying. Applications cannot be presented to the district without a preferred location selected.

Job Responsibilities

• Support students in classroom and educational settings
• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assist students with personal care needs as necessary

Candidates must be considered Highly Qualified through one of the following:

Option 1: Pass the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Minnesota Paraeducator Exam)

Option 2: Have completed at least 60 college credits

Candidates must provide:

• Current resume
• Proof of passing the Minnesota Paraeducator Exam OR
• Official college transcripts showing a minimum of 60 completed college credits

Please Note:

• A degree, diploma, or photograph of a diploma does not satisfy district requirements.
• Official transcripts must be provided if qualifying through college credits.
• Candidates will not be presented to the district without a resume and highly qualified documentation.

Additional Requirement

Toileting assistance is an expectation of all support staff. Candidates must be willing to assist students with toileting and personal care needs when required.
