Make a meaningful impact by working directly with a middle school student as a dedicated 1:1 paraprofessional in a supportive and collaborative educational environment near Minneapolis, MN. This full-time, full-school-year contract role offers 32.5 hours per week, providing the opportunity to help a female middle school student who is severely disabled, non-verbal, and requires assistance with various daily activities.

The ideal candidate is patient, kind, and understanding, able to approach challenging behaviors with calm and empathy. You will be instrumental in supporting the student in a classroom setting that emphasizes positive reinforcement and teamwork among staff.

Qualifications:

• Para Test Certification, or proof of two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester or 90 quarter credits), or a college degree from an accredited institution
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, particularly with students with significant disabilities or behavioral challenges, is highly valued
• Physical ability and willingness to assist with toileting, lifting, and feeding tasks
• Patience, compassion, and a professional, flexible attitude
• Female candidates are preferred due to personal care needs
• Availability for an in-person interview

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support for a female middle school student with severe disabilities
• Assist with toileting, feeding, lifting, and all daily functional needs
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment within the classroom
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
• Implement behavior support strategies and adapt to the students evolving needs
