Embrace a rewarding opportunity this summer as a Secondary ESY Paraprofessional, supporting students as they grow and learn during their extended school year. From July 6th to July 23rd, youll have the chance to build strong connections while making a lasting impactworking either 1:1 with students or contributing to a collaborative classroom environment. This contract position is located near Minneapolis and offers a consistent schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 1:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch, totaling 20 hours each week.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience working with secondary school populations in a classroom or 1:1 setting
- Para Test Certification, or proof of college creditseither two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution, or a college degree
- Genuine passion for helping students reach their goals and thrive in an educational environment
- Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate with educational teams, and adapt to varied learning needs
- Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to supporting student development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individual students, fostering engagement and academic achievement
- Assist in classroom management, reinforcing lesson plans and adapting materials as needed
- Implement teacher-led activities and support daily routines
- Foster an inclusive, positive atmosphere that encourages growth for all students
- Track student progress and provide feedback to classroom teachers
