Job Description

Your role will be vital in providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students, collaborating closely with teachers and specialists. Youll help create a supportive and structured environment, working one-on-one or in small groups as needed. A commitment to fostering student growth, patience, and adaptability will set you up for success in this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of college credits from an accredited institution OR
  • An associate degree or higher, OR
  • A passing score on an approved academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or meet competencies on the MDE approved grid
  • Hold a PCA certificate (or be willing to obtain oneits free and takes less than an hour)
  • Previous experience working with children or within special education is a plus
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist special education teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
  • Support students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
  • Supervise and engage students in individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with educators to modify and adapt instructional materials
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $32.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
