Job Description

Step into a rewarding educational setting working closely with students who benefit from personalized support. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated paraprofessional to assist in a TK/K classroom, supporting a student with moderate to severe needs for the full academic year. An additional position is available in a mild/moderate SDC classroom, providing flexibility based on your experience. Your role will be on-site, ensuring hands-on guidance and real-time collaboration with teachers and staff.

Youll contribute to a nurturing learning environment, making a lasting difference in students school experiences. The position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, spanning the entire school year from August through June.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional in school settings
  • Background working with moderate to severe caseloads or specialized ABA experience
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
  • Demonstrated reliability and a passion for supporting student achievement
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with both educators and families

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one or small group support for students with special needs
  • Implementing teacher-directed instructional and behavioral strategies
  • Supporting daily classroom operations and routines
  • Encouraging students social and academic growth
  • Facilitating inclusion and participation in classroom activities
