This contract opportunity invites passionate professionals to provide direct support in either a 1:1 or classroom assistant capacity, helping foster growth and learning for children who need it most. This is an onsite role, structured for 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Current paraprofessional license required
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach to student care and support
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting educators in classroom management, organizing activities, and adapting learning materials
- Supporting students individually or in small groups based on assigned caseload
- Providing encouragement, guidance, and positive reinforcement to promote student engagement and academic success
- Collaborating with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining confidentiality at all times
