Step into a dynamic role supporting students and special education classrooms as a floating paraprofessional across a range of school sites. This contract position involves collaborating with various crews within a large district, ensuring consistent assistance during staff absences. Key Qualifications:

• Must meet Minnesota's "Highly Qualified" paraprofessional requirements by either passing the MN Para Educator Exam or holding at least 60 college credits (transcripts required, not just a diploma).
• Demonstrated experience in school settings, particularly with students who have behavioral needs or require implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Physical ability and willingness to provide toileting or personal care support as needed.
• Flexible attitude and readiness to move between different schools or classrooms according to daily assignments.
• Reliable transportation to accommodate travel requirements within the district.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a floating substitute paraprofessional, covering staff absences across specific district crews (locations include Champlin, Coon Rapids, Blaine, Anoka, Andover, and a specialized learning center).
• Work both 1:1 with students and as a classroom aide, supporting special education teachers and students with diverse needs.
• Assist in creating a positive, structured environment and managing classroom behaviors.
• Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding availability and assignments.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to school protocols.
