Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting preferred
- Confidence supporting learners with diverse needs and adapting to varied classroom environments
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for assisting students' growth
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or paraprofessional certification is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers by preparing materials, supervising students, and facilitating small-group activities
- Support students one-on-one or in groups to ensure understanding and participation
- Monitor student behavior and reinforce positive classroom expectations
- Provide additional assistance to students with special needs, adapting instructional strategies as needed
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs or progress
