This contract role, located near Manchester, NH, offers both part-time and full-time schedules for the upcoming school year, with the opportunity to travel between two sites if desired. This position is pivotal for building independence and providing consistent boundaries for a student who benefits from direct, individualized support.

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Paraeducator Certification, Associates Degree, or completion of the Praxis exam highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in 1:1 roles, especially with behavior management and individualized student support
  • Proven ability to set clear boundaries, remain calm, and enforce expectations consistently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one assistance to a 4th-grade female student, focusing on academic, behavioral, and social development
  • Implement individualized strategies to foster growth, encourage independence, and reinforce a positive learning environment
  • Maintain a structured, predictable routine and communicate clear expectations at all times
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to adapt learning materials and reinforce progress
  • Monitor, redirect, and document student behavior, keeping detailed records as needed
