Qualifications:
- Prior experience working as a paraprofessional (preferred)
- Familiarity with middle school-aged students and their academic, behavioral, or social needs
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers and staff
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and implementation of lesson plans
- Support students with special needs as required by their individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Encourage positive behavior and help foster a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Assist with classroom management, monitoring, and ensuring student engagement
- Participate in meetings, training, or professional development as needed
