Make a significant impact in students lives by utilizing your American Sign Language (ASL) skills as a dedicated paraprofessional in a welcoming educational setting near Litchfield Park, AZ. This full-time contract role gives you the opportunity to support students learning and communication in and out of the classroom, working alongside educators and fellow support staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in an educational setting preferred
• Compassionate and patient, with strong interpersonal abilities
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families for student success
• Organized, dependable, and able to adapt to diverse classroom situations
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certifications are a plus

Responsiblities:

• Support students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing by providing ASL interpretation and communication assistance
• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student engagement and inclusion
• Adapt materials or instruction methods to meet the needs of students
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and as needed outside the classroom
• Maintain clear communication with educational staff and families regarding student progress and needs
