The older student may exhibit behaviors, and your compassionate presence will provide essential support throughout the school day. If you have experience with a Hoyer lift, that's a great asset, but not a necessity; thorough training will be provided if needed.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience as a school paraprofessional or instructional aide, especially with medically fragile students
• Comfortable with toileting, diapering, and personal care routines
• Willingness to learn and utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts (training available)
• Ability to support positive behavioral strategies for students with diverse needs
• Reliable, patient, and able to maintain confidentiality
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and team members

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to two female students, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the day
• Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and diapering
• Implement individual behavior and care plans, following school protocols
• Support students participation in classroom activities and transitions
• Attend team meetings every Tuesday at 8:00 am; regular building hours are 8:45 am - 4:15 pm
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and school staff
