Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active Substitute Certification with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
- Recent fingerprint clearance aligned with district-specific requirements
- Prior experience in a school environment, particularly in supporting student behavior and learning
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality with secure transportation to and from the site
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating with teachers and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student at the elementary level
- Assist with academic tasks, social skills, and behavioral strategies as directed by classroom teachers and therapists
- Foster a safe, structured environment throughout the school day, from 9:00 AM to 4:25 PM
- Maintain confidential records and follow all school policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and participate in meetings as required
This is a contract opportunity available for an immediate start, continuing through the end of October. The position follows a two-step interview process to ensure the right fit for both you and the student youll support.
