This per diem position delivers a unique chance to work across multiple schools, primarily in elementary settings, with a focus on assisting students with behavioral needs and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Assignments may range from 1:1 student support to broader classroom aide duties.

Key Qualifications:

• Active substitute certificate through DESE, or in the process of obtaining (must be active prior to starting).
• Completion of fingerprinting specific to local district requirements.
• Previous experience working in schools, with students exhibiting behavioral challenges.
• Familiarity with BIPs and comfort with toileting support if needed.
• Flexibility to adapt to different school schedules and classrooms, often with same-day notification.
• Must not have prior employment in the district without clearance.

Role Responsibilities:

• Quickly respond to and accept assignments for contractor call-outs using a user-friendly mobile app.
• Provide essential assistance to students with special needs, ensuring safety, engagement, and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and other aides to maintain a structured, positive learning environment.
• Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at each campus within the district.
• Accurately follow district processes for shift acceptance, attendance, and communication.
