Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students with significant needs as part of a dynamic paraprofessional pool. This contract role serves elementary through high school students with moderate to high-intensity behavioral and safety needs. Flexibility and commitment are key; as assignments are fluid and may shift throughout Levittown, Quakertown, and Perkasie.

Youll be deployed where support is urgently neededassisting students who may display aggressive or self-injurious behaviors, and require hands-on support, including in personal care. Your expertise in implementing safety interventions and working within structured, behavioral support settings will be essential as you contribute directly to student success and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in a K-12 special education setting working with severe autism and behavioral challenges
  • Documented experience with MDS, ADL, AS3, behaviors, and autism support
  • Comfortable with intensive behavioral and safety support, including 1:1 engagement and personal care (toileting, transfers, feeding, etc.)
  • Must reside within a 35-minute commute of the placement area
  • Full-time availability, MondayFriday (37.5 hours/week), with flexibility for varied start/end times between 6:45 AM4:01 PM
  • Willing to attend a mandatory one-week orientation prior to placement
  • Meets at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification requirement, or able to achieve certification within 60 days
  • Two professional references from prior paraprofessional supervisors

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group support to students with behavioral, communication, and safety needs
  • Assist in the implementation of IEPs, behavioral plans, and therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with educators and specialists to maintain a positive, structured, and safe learning environment
  • Adapt to frequent assignment changes as part of the paraprofessional pool
