Job Description
Support students with severe behavioral needs as a Paraprofessional in Levittown, PA. This contract position focuses on working with a high-intensity, severe needs population in grades K8. Candidates will assist in a structured behavioral environment at a specialized school serving students who may exhibit aggressive and self-injurious behaviors, requiring the implementation of safety interventions.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional utilizing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) principles
- Demonstrated expertise supporting students with autism and severe behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with ABA interventions and behavioral safety protocols
- Must reside within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA to ensure timely attendance and dependable transportation
- Possession of at least one credential: 48 college credits, Associate degree, CDA, or Credential of Competency
- If not currently credentialed, readiness to complete a 7-module paraprofessional training during onboarding and submit credential within 60 days
Location and Schedule:
- Based in Levittown, PA
- Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours weekly (8:00 AM3:30 PM)
- Mandatory orientation every other week from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students exhibiting high-intensity behaviors in a K8 setting
- Implement behavioral interventions and safety strategies in accordance with ABA principles
- Maintain a structured, supportive educational environment tailored to severe needs students
- Collaborate with supervisory staff and comply with school policies and procedures
Additional Information:
- This contract runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026 (subject to school calendar)
- Candidates must complete a comprehensive screening including supervisor references and confirmation of availability and comfort with behaviorally intensive environments
- Background clearances and client HR approval are mandatory prior to placement
