Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in an educational support role
- Knowledge of diverse classroom needs, including special education or behavioral support
- Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about helping students succeed
- Strong communication skills for working with students, teachers, and school staff
- Ability to implement teacher-directed instructional strategies and follow classroom routines
- High school diploma or equivalent; related certifications are a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers by providing academic and behavioral support to individual students or groups
- Help implement lesson plans and adapt activities to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and recess, ensuring a safe setting
- Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence and confidence
- Support students with special needs according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and teacher guidance
- Collaborate with staff to report progress, challenges, and success stories
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
