Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant paraprofessional experience
- Familiarity working in K-12 settings, including classrooms focused on life skills, autism spectrum support, and behavior management
- Ability to adapt to varied classroom needs and provide individualized student support
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a collaborative attitude
- Flexibility to work in different grade levels and program types as needs within the district arise
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers with classroom instruction and behavior management
- Provide direct support to students with diverse needs, ensuring safety and engagement
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide accommodations as necessary
- Encourage student independence, socialization, and participation in academic activities
- Work collaboratively with educational staff to maintain positive, structured learning environments
