This contract opportunity places you in a dynamic middle school environment, working alongside dedicated educators to provide essential assistance to students in their academic and personal development.

Leverage your experience as a paraprofessional or background supporting children with disabilities to help facilitate learning, encourage social interactions, and foster independence among students. Youll be deeply involved in daily classroom activities, collaborating with teachers and staff to create a supportive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or in a similar support role.
• Direct experience working with children with disabilities is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.
• Ability to adapt to a variety of classroom activities and student needs.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students in a functional skills classroom, working with grades 6-8.
• Assist classroom teacher in the implementation of instructional plans and student activities.
• Offer guidance for academic tasks, social development, and life skills.
• Help manage classroom behaviors and provide individualized support as needed.
• Document student progress, concerns, and daily interactions in accordance with school policies.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required.
