Shifts are assigned based on daily needs, primarily within elementary settings, but also in middle and high schools.
Your commitment will directly support students with behavioral needs, including those with Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), across a range of classroom and 1:1 settings. Assignments may also involve personal care tasks such as toileting. All scheduling and assignments are streamlined through an easy-to-use mobile app, where you can select available shifts that best match your interests and availability.
Requirements:
- Current active substitute or paraprofessional certification on DESE (or in process, as long as active before starting)
- Must complete required fingerprints specific to the district
- Previous school-based and behavioral experience mandatory
- Availability for shifts during school hours; per diem hours vary by assignment
- Comfort working with students with varying needs and backgrounds
