Step into a pivotal role supporting K12 students in special education classrooms as a paraprofessional with a pool of ongoing, contract openings across the Quakertown, Levittown, and Perkasie areas. This opportunity offers immediate deployment to schools with high demand for dedicated ABA paras, especially as new needs arise throughout the academic year.

In this dynamic environment, you'll work one-on-one and in highly structured behavioral settings, providing hands-on assistance to students with moderate to high-intensity behavioral and safety needs. The ideal candidate is resourceful, experienced, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students facing significant challenges.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • At least 1 full year of experience as a paraprofessional in a K12 special education classroom, working directly with students diagnosed with severe autism and exhibiting challenging behaviors (aggression, self-injury, intensive safety needs)
  • Background with MDS, ADL, AS3, behavioral interventions, and autism required
  • Must reside within 35 minutes of the target areas and able to reliably commute
  • Comfortable performing personal care tasks (toileting, feeding, diapering, transfers)
  • Ability to maintain a full-time schedule (MondayFriday, 37.5 hours/week), with flexibility for start and end times between 6:45 AM and 4:01 PM, per school assignment
  • Attendance at a mandatory, in-person orientation week is required prior to placement
  • Must either meet one of Pennsylvania's paraprofessional requirements (48 college credits, associate degree or higher, or state/local assessment) or complete paraprofessional certification within 60 days of starting

Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior and safety plans with guidance from educational staff
  • Support students 1:1 or within small groups in classrooms for moderate to high-needs populations
  • Participate actively in daily routines, adapting to changing environments as needed
  • Foster positive, trusting relationships while maintaining safety and dignity
