Job Description
Support students with high-intensity severe needs in a structured school environment focused on behavioral interventions. This paraprofessional role is based in Lansdale, PA, serving students in grades K8 who exhibit challenging behaviors requiring specialized attention.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with autism and severe behavioral needs.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions and structured safety strategies.
- Respond appropriately to aggressive or self-injurious behaviors, ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and behavioral specialists to support individualized education plans.
- Participate in mandatory orientation sessions every other week to enhance skills and team coordination.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress with supervisors.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of ABA paraprofessional experience supporting students with severe behavioral challenges.
- Comfortable and skilled in managing high-intensity behavioral situations and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with ABA interventions and behavioral support techniques.
- Must hold at least one of the following: 48 college credits, Associate degree or higher, Child Development Associate (CDA), or Credential of Competency.
- Candidates not currently credentialed must complete a 7-module paraprofessional training during onboarding and submit credentials within 60 days.
- Reside within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA to ensure timely commute and punctual attendance.
- Ability to commit to MondayFriday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM schedule with mandatory orientation sessions from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM every other week.
Additional Information:
- The assignment follows the school calendar with an anticipated end date in June 2026.
- Completion of background clearances and client HR approval is required to secure the assignment.
- Candidates will undergo a screening process, including reference checks and eligibility reviews.
