Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and staff
• A patient, compassionate approach to working with children and adolescents of varying abilities
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and classroom settings
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or associates degree in education or a related field is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers with classroom instruction, behavior management, and organizational tasks
• Provide individualized and small group support tailored to students educational goals
• Help supervise and support students during classroom activities, transitions, and breaks
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students at all developmental stages
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with educators and support staff
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities as needed
