Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling contract assignment supporting students as a Behavior Intervention Paraprofessional in a vibrant educational setting near Kuna, Idaho. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavior Specialist in an educational environment, particularly with students exhibiting behavioral or special needs, is highly valued
  • Familiarity with implementing individualized behavior intervention strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
  • Flexibility to work across various classrooms and support students of different developmental stages
  • Required licenses/certifications must be current and valid at start
  • Ability to adapt to a smaller district setting with individualized caseloads

Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers and specialists with daily instructional and behavioral activities
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under guidance from certified staff
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Assist students one-on-one and in small groups to promote participation and success
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation as required by district protocols
  • Communicate regularly with the multidisciplinary team about student progress and strategies
  • Participate in required training and adhere to district onboarding, including fingerprinting prior to start
