Job Description

This contract opportunity offers you the chance to serve as a Paraprofessional (or PCA), working 1:1 in a life skills program with a student who benefits from dedicated academic assistance and personal care, including toileting and positioning. Your compassion and expertise will have a direct impact, helping the student engage with their school community and thrive in daily learning activities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or PCA in a school setting is highly valued
  • LNA/CNA credentials are also welcomed
  • Ability to support students with disabilities in both academic and personal care needs
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Respectful and discreet approach to personal care tasks
  • Reliability and commitment to maintaining a positive, encouraging environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized academic support to a student in the life skills program
  • Assist with students daily toileting, freshening, and positioning needs according to their plan
  • Encourage engagement and participation during classroom and community-based activities
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive environment conducive to learning and growth
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and support staff

This contract position runs Monday through Friday during school hours (8:50 a.m. 3:22 p.m.) through the end of June 2026, offering you an opportunity for both stability and meaningful contribution in the educational field.
