Embark on a rewarding opportunity providing one-on-one support to an elementary student in a dynamic educational setting near Kansas City, MO. This contract role focuses on making a daily impact, fostering growth and engagement in a supportive classroom environment.

In this position, you'll work closely with a student at Chapel Hill Elementary, assisting throughout the school day, helping with academic tasks, behavioral support, and ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere. You'll collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individualized strategies tailored for the students success.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Substitute Certificate (SUB cert) on DESE is required
• Experience working in schools, preferably with behavioral needs
• Demonstrated ability to provide one-on-one accommodations and interventions
• Reliable transportation for commuting and district-specific requirements
• Willingness to complete district-specific fingerprinting and background screening

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 assistance to assigned student during school hours (9:00am - 4:25pm)
• Support classroom participation, adapting activities to meet unique learning and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to reinforce educational and behavioral goals
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students
• Maintain accurate documentation as required by staff and administration

This contract assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of October. You'll be part of a structured interview process, starting with a prescreen conversation, followed by an interview with the district.
