Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active substitute certificate listed on the official Missouri DESE website (required)
• Previous experience in SPED classrooms, 1:1 support, or general education settings highly valued
• Flexibility to work across various grade levels and school environments; preferences can be accommodated when possible
• Comfortable with duties such as toileting, changing, and managing challenging behaviors
• Able and willing to float throughout the district based on student and classroom needs
• Willingness and ability to complete required background checks and fingerprinting (applicant pays fee)

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide essential classroom support, whether assigned to individual students or general classroom needs
• Assist teachers with instructional activities, behavior management, and daily care routines
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and inclusive environment for students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt quickly to various teaching styles, routines, and school sites as needed
