Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teachers aide, or similar support staff preferred
- Familiarity with classroom routines, academic support, or student supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and students
- Patience, adaptability, and a strong sense of responsibility
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or certification is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers with classroom activities and lesson implementation
- Provide extra support to students who may need help academically, socially, or behaviorally
- Support individual or small group learning either in the classroom or in pull-out settings
- Help implement individualized education and behavior plans as directed by certified staff
- Maintain an organized, positive classroom environment
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-classroom activities as needed
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere for all learners
