Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional, classroom assistant, or in a similar school-based role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and compassion for working with children
- Ability to work effectively alongside teachers, support staff, and students of diverse backgrounds
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or paraprofessional certification preferred
- Proven reliability and professionalism in educational settings
- Adaptability to various learning environments and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction by assisting with lessons and activities under teacher guidance
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning, behavioral, or physical needs
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all students
- Assist with classroom organization, educational materials, and student supervision
- Communicate observations and student progress to teachers and school staff
- Foster a positive attitude that contributes to the school community
