Job Description

Exciting opportunities are available for Paraprofessionals and Behavior Aides passionate about supporting students in educational settings. We have multiple contract positions open in the Toms River, NJ area, with assignments at elementary, middle, and high schools. These roles begin as soon as possible and continue through June, offering the chance to make a real impact across a range of educational environments.

In these shared 1:1 positions, you'll support studentsprimarily those with autism and behavioral needsenhancing their learning experience and fostering growth in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or behavior aide in a school setting is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working with students who have autism, as well as those with behavioral challenges
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CNA, RBT, or other relevant certifications are an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students in shared 1:1 roles, assisting with daily activities and classroom participation
  • Implement behavior plans, offer positive reinforcement, and provide prompts as needed
  • Support teachers in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom
  • Document daily progress, incidents, and communication as required
  • Assist students with personal care, transitions, and participation in school programs

Compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 to $35.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
