Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role
• Background working with children with disabilities required
• Understanding of functional skills classroom environments is highly valued
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering daily instruction and tailored support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment by promoting respect and independence
• Collaborate closely with teachers and related service staff to support educational goals
• Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom routines
• Support students with personal care tasks as needed and encourage self-advocacy
• Track and document student progress, sharing observations directly with lead staff
