Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a paraprofessional in a dynamic elementary school environment near Independence, MO. This role focuses on working 1:1 at an elementary campus, providing critical assistance and guidance as a substitute paraprofessional. Key Qualifications:
- Active Substitute Certification (SUB cert) registered with DESE
- Completion of fingerprinting (district-specific process required)
- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance
- Demonstrated experience in schools and with behavioral needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist a designated student 1:1, implementing individualized support plans
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
- Support student engagement, address behavioral needs, and encourage skill development
- Document progress and communicate updates to the educational team as needed
- Uphold school guidelines and maintain confidentiality at all times
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 4:25 PM, with the contract running through the end of October. This allows you to contribute meaningfully while maintaining a consistent routine.
