Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support capacity within a school setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist students and collaborate with educational staff
  • Ability to work one-on-one or with small groups of students, adapting to various learning styles and needs
  • Patient, flexible, and compassionate approach to supporting children of diverse backgrounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications a plus
  • Must be able to follow direction and adhere to school policies

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional support to students under the guidance of teachers and special educators
  • Assist with classroom management and organization, contributing to a structured learning environment
  • Support students with academic, behavioral, or social challenges, offering encouragement and redirection as needed
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and other educational programs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where all students can thrive
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and break times
