Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a Paraprofessional in an elementary school setting through a contract assignment near Wilmington, DE. In this role, youll provide essential programmatic assistance in kindergarten classrooms across the school, working collaboratively with school staff to foster a positive, supportive learning environment for students. This opportunity is specifically for candidates with experience as a Paraprofessional, with a special focus on behavioral support programming (BSP).

Assignment Details:

• Start date: ASAP, lasting approximately 60 days from start
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours weekly, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day
• School-based, onsite position in a vibrant elementary setting
• Two positions available, offering the chance to work alongside another dedicated education professional

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (pending permits accepted with required documentation; see below)
• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school environment, especially supporting kindergarten-aged students, is highly desirable
• Ability to support classroom learning, follow program guidelines, and assist in behavioral support interventions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must agree to and cover the cost of required $85 CBC fingerprinting

Responsibilities:

• Support kindergarten teachers with classroom activities and behavioral interventions
• Assist with day-to-day operations and the implementation of classroom programs
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning atmosphere
• Work positively with students, building relationships and encouraging social and academic growth
