A contract paraprofessional position is available, assisting a 3rd5th grade moderate/severe special day class. This essential role starts as soon as possible and goes through June 11th, 2027, with consistent hours from 8:00am2:30pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 30 hours per week.

This role is ideal for candidates passionate about helping children with diverse needs in a school environment. Youll work alongside a dedicated team, supporting both classroom and one-on-one paraprofessionals, and providing vital coverage during staff breaks. With a classroom size of just nine studentsmost receiving individual supportyoull have the chance to truly make a difference every day.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with children, especially in an educational or care setting
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers, students, and staff
• Flexibility to assist wherever needed in a dynamic classroom
• Patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover breaks for 1:1 paraprofessional staff throughout the school day
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering individualized education and support
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and fellow paraprofessionals
• Maintain awareness of each students needs while supporting overall classroom objectives
