Key Qualifications:

• Active CPR & first aid certification from an in-person training course (virtual certificates not accepted)
• High school diploma; copies of both credentials required for placement consideration
• Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant classroom, childcare, or paraprofessional experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with both students and educational staff
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs, especially those on the autism spectrum

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom activities
• Provide direct instructional and classroom support to students and assist with personal care as needed
• Foster a safe, supportive learning environment to help students achieve educational and social milestones
• Track and document students progress, reporting observations to teachers and therapists
• Adapt to a variety of student needs and classroom settings throughout the school
