Key Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting.
• Paraprofessional certificate, 48+ college credits, or an associates degree or higher preferred. (If these qualifications are not met, you must be willing to obtain para certification within 60 days of hire.)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Reliable and punctual, ready to commit to the entire school year.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in a high school life skills classroom (not a 1:1 support position).
• Support academic, behavioral, and personal development of students.
• Adapt instructional materials and activities under teacher direction.
• Encourage student independence and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and staff.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrative teams.

The contract carries through the 20262027 school year, with immediate start available. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 3537.5 hours per week. The position is conveniently located in the Gettysburg area, accessible from surrounding communities.
