An education-focused contract role is available for a Paraprofessional/VOCO Facilitator in the New Orleans area, beginning in August and running through the end of May. This full-time position (35 hours per week) places you at the heart of innovative educational delivery, working alongside students and supporting remote professionals such as school psychologists or speech-language pathologists.

Key Qualifications:

  • Completed Associates degree, or a ParaPro assessment score of at least 450, or a minimum of 48 completed college semester credit hours
  • Demonstrated experience in special education classroom settings
  • Ability to complete and pass district-required drug screening and fingerprinting processes
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and genuine enthusiasm for student support
  • Confidence in facilitating virtual sessions and collaborating with educators both in-person and online

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite facilitator for virtual school psychologist or SLP sessions, ensuring technology operates smoothly and students remain engaged
  • Provide individualized and group support to students as directed by remote specialists
  • Collaborate with on-campus staff to maintain optimal learning environments
  • Monitor student participation, maintain accurate records, and follow up with teachers as needed
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all district safety and privacy policies
