Job Description

Support students growth and learning in an engaging educational environment for the full 2026-2027 academic year. Two dedicated professionals are needed to fill contract paraprofessional roles: one position supporting a middle school emotional support classroom, and the other assisting a high school life skills classroom. These positions offer the chance to have a real impact working closely with students and educators for the duration of the school year.

Ideal candidates have a passion for supporting learners, collaborating with educators, and contributing to a positive school culture. Scheduling is consistentMonday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling up to 37.5 hours a week.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a paraprofessional
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • If not already certified and lacking 48+ college credits or an associates degree, must obtain paraprofessional certification within 60 days of starting
  • Experience working with students requiring emotional support or special education services is highly valued
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in managing classroom routines and individualized instruction
  • Assist students in daily activities, ensuring safety and encouragement
  • Provide academic, behavioral, and emotional support tailored to students needs
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere
