Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students by supporting their growth and success in a life skills-based program. This contract opportunity requires dedicated Educational Technicians (II or III) to work with K-5 students, utilizing specialized approaches to foster independence and positive outcomes. The assignment is scheduled from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a stable, long-term role in a collaborative school environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Educational Technician II or III certification (required)
  • Previous experience in a paraprofessional or educational support role strongly preferred
  • Ability to support and engage students with diverse learning needs using a life skills curriculum
  • Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Patient, compassionate, and adaptable demeanor when working with children
  • Proficiency in behavior management and implementing individualized support plans

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, daily support to students as directed by certified teachers and specialists
  • Implement instructional and behavioral strategies to reinforce classroom learning
  • Assist with daily living tasks and promote the development of essential life skills
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Collect data and contribute to progress monitoring and student documentation
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support individual student goals
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development as needed
