Job Description

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or classroom assistant preferred
  • Ability to support students with diverse learning needs in a school setting
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, teachers, and staff
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive approach in supporting children academically and behaviorally
  • Proven organizational skills and responsiveness in a dynamic classroom environment
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (additional relevant certifications are a plus)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering academic instruction and implementing lesson plans
  • Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
  • Help manage classroom behavior and routines, following established protocols
  • Provide assistance to students with special needs as directed by certified staff
  • Contribute to a positive, engaging learning climate by encouraging student participation
  • Prepare classroom materials and support administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to school policies
