Job Description
Join a contract position as a Behavior Specialist and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students in a school setting in Fremont, CA. This role focuses on providing paraprofessional and ABA therapy services to children with behavioral needs in an educational environment, serving a caseload of 3-12 students aged 3 to 12 years old.
Location: Fremont, CA
Contract Type: Temporary contract through June 4th
Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Setting: Elementary school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver ABA therapy and behavioral interventions under supervision
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff to optimize student outcomes
- Monitor and document student progress and provide feedback to the supervising behavior analyst or school personnel
- Utilize evidence-based techniques to promote positive behaviors and learning
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience as a Behavior Specialist or ABA Therapist in educational settings preferred
- Background working with children ages 3-12 with behavioral challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to attend virtual interviews and onboarding processes, including background clearance and fingerprinting as required
