Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 support for a student at an Elementary School. This rewarding opportunity allows you to work closely with students in an educational setting, supporting both academic and behavioral success throughout the school year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized 1:1 support to students throughout the school day.
  • Assist with classroom participation, learning activities, and daily routines.
  • Support students with mild to severe behavioral needs using positive intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
  • Help implement behavioral and academic plans as directed by the educational team.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with school staff.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Student Population

  • Elementary School setting
  • Students with varying disabilities and support needs
  • Mild to severe behavioral challenges may be present

Qualifications

  • Paraeducator I or Paraeducator II certification preferred
  • Candidates willing to obtain Paraeducator certification are encouraged to apply
  • Individuals with a Bachelor's degree or higher may qualify without testing requirements
  • CPI Certification and Crisis Intervention Training are highly valued and may increase compensation opportunities
  • Experience working with children, special education populations, or behavioral support preferred
  • Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
