Job Description

A paraprofessional opportunity is available for professionals seeking to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational setting in Folsom, CA. This contract position serves a diverse student population across multiple locations within El Dorado County, including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino. The role primarily supports classrooms with moderate to severe needs, focusing on students with high behavior challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in classrooms dedicated to students with moderate to severe behavioral needs.
  • Provide individualized support in 1:1 settings as well as more general classroom aide duties.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to implement strategies outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Maintain active communication regarding student progress and behavior management.
  • Uphold safety standards by maintaining current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CPR certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working as a paraprofessional, behavioral technician, or aide in educational settings preferred.
  • Active CPI and CPR certifications required at the start of the assignment.
  • Ability to manage high-behavior needs students with patience and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work across various school locations within the county.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Location: Folsom, CA, serving schools throughout El Dorado County.
